To know Mary Louise Scherer was to know love. As the mother of eight children, the proof of Mary's love is evident with the many lives that she inspired and touched. On June 20th , 1995 Mary Louise Scherer passed away after battling breast cancer for five years. Engaged to her youngest child, Kristy, I only had the pleasure to know Mary for just over a year. Just as Christ lives on in the hearts of all Christians, so to does Mary Louise Scherer live on in the hearts of all who have been blessed to know her.

In December 1995, I had the pleasure of marrying Mary's Little Girl, Kristy and although Mary was not physically present at our wedding, her spirit enveloped all who attended. Mary's love continues to bless our home and to inspire her little girl in profound ways.

The collection of artwork contained on these pages is a true collaboration between Mary and her little girl, Kristy Lynn Allgeyer. Each brush stroke contains not only paint but the stokes of love shared between Mother and Daughter. The quiet moments of painting have become more of a conversation of love and encouragement.
